Existing public content and your completed books are free to read, retrieve, download, and install. Creating a new book with your own agent has no Answer with Books generation charge; your agent provider may charge under your plan.

Hosted conversions

New hosted conversions charge metered input, cached-input, and output tokens at the customer rates shown before approval. Your approved spending limit is a maximum additional charge, not a fixed book price or a guarantee that the work will finish within it. Generation, source review, repairs, and cover attempts count toward the same approved usage budget. Consumed usage can be charged even when work fails or is cancelled. Unused funds become available again. Reading or installing the completed result does not charge for another conversion.

Add funds

Open Billing in your account, choose an amount, accept the credit terms, and complete Stripe checkout. Deposits add the same amount in USD credit. API execution keys cannot purchase credits. Your balance updates after payment confirmation. Returning from checkout alone does not confirm payment; refresh your balance if it is pending. A deposit never starts a conversion without its separate approval.

Access and payments

Your website login, connected agent, and personal API keys use the same account’s books. Keys identify the account for API requests; they are not model-provider keys. Most users can use browser connection instead of creating a key. Read the current credit terms before purchase. An explicitly labeled test checkout creates test credits, not spendable live credit.
