Local skills require a host that can execute commands and a supported skill directory. Use Node 20 or later. If the host cannot do this, use the public shelf and its copyable reading prompts. Do not start a local API server just to read books.
Use the current GitHub release shown in the CLI reference. The older npm registry package may have fewer commands. Preserve any local edits when updating the installed skill.
Website and CLI sessions are separate. Ask the agent to run login, then approve the browser authorization and check the matching terminal code. Expired or revoked sessions need a new login.
New hosted work waits for a reviewed quote and spending approval. Adding credit does not approve the book. Return to the book and check its current status and pricing.
You can read and download ready text. Retry only the cover if needed; a new paid attempt may require an additional approved limit.
Scanned pages need text extraction through OCR. Use a readable, authorized copy. DRM restrictions are not bypassed.
Check that checkout completed and that you are viewing the same account and environment. Refresh after Stripe confirms the payment. Test credits and live credits are separate.
